Indian Development
Foundation (IDF) has launched Second BAL Gurukul in Hyderabad on 8th
Feb 2012 at CSS NAM School Bal Gurukul at Hayatnagar, Hyderabad.
Education is of prime importance. IDF in its
diversified objectives has included education programmes into its fold. There
are many first time school-goers in a family. In such cases, the children
attend schools but do not get proper educational guidance from home. Indian
Development Foundation (IDF) has found a method to remove this barrier by
opening up `Education Programmes’ – `Bal Gurukuls’ in India. These Bal Gurukuls
not only provides quality education to the underprivileged children but also
facilitates in raising the literacy level of the district. IDF also believes in

Regarding
Centre for Social
Service (CSS) is a voluntary, not for profit, non-governmental organization,
promoted by academicians and philanthropists who share a common concern for the
down trodden and under privileged young girls of our society. CSS has no funds from Government. All the requirements of the students
are provided by CSS. The entire project is run on donations received from
family, friends and like minded people.
This
society was started by Mrs. V. Vijayalakshmi in 2004.
CSS – NAM Girls School - Free English Medium School
for economically and socially deprived girls (CSS+NAM GIRLS SCHOOL)
Children belonging to the lower economic strata get
education only through Government run Municipal Schools, because of the free
education and mid-day meal provided there.
But a large number of girls start dropping out of
these schools from first form onwards, either due to poor grades, disinterest
or due to economic conditions.
Young girls at this age are potential wage earners as
baby-sitters; house-maids etc and parents remove them from school, even though
they want to educate them.
Continuous failure of a child in school makes this
decision even easier to make.
To re-enforce the importance of education to both
parents and children staying in nearby slums and studying in Nagole Government
High School, CSS is running a support school with might strength of 300 girl
students.
They have appointed teachers to teach these children.
After the classes, the children are provided with a small meal. We are
sure that with a little support these children will improve their performance
in school which in turn will convince their parents to let them continue their
education.
CSS
provides apart from free education free of cost the following:

Two sets of
uniforms, one sports shirt, one pair of shoes, Two pairs of socks, Text
books, Note books, Stationary.
It
gives us immense pleasure to associate with CSS NAM School in this noble cause
of educating the underprivileged children and starting the Bal Gurukul.
The
Children gave an excellent cultural programme.
Mrs.Janaki
Committee member CSS introduced CSS and its activities. Mr. Sanjay Ram
highlighted reg IDF and its activities and also reg Bal gurukul concepts.
